Dilworth’s Festival in the Park is THIS WEEKEND!

Don’t Miss Charlotte’s Most Historic Festival of All!

Since 1964, Festival in the Park has been bringing good music, good art andgood times to Charlotteans and visitors from around the world. The sounds of “big band music” drift across Freedom Charlotte Festival in the ParkPark’s lake whose still surface reflects the lights strung from Camelot exhibit tents. The delicious scents of a festival food fill the air, as children with freshly painted faces happily produce their first artwork. Others find the many talented artists who can create an original work of art to grace their home or to give as the perfect gift. This is a great opportunity to see art from all over, from paintings to pottery, kitschy folk art to traditional pieces, this is the place to see it all! So head on out and enjoy the cool fresh air of fall as you soak up the ambiance of one of my favorite festivals all around.

Here is the weekend’s schedule for Charlotte’s first Fall festival of 2015:

Friday, September 25 – 4 p.m.-9:30 p.m.

Saturday, September 26 – 10 a.m.-9:30 p.m.

Sunday, September 27 – 11 a.m.-6:00 p.m.

Here are some fun facts about Festival in the Park:

  • Some artists come from as far away as Washington State and this year over 21 states are represented.

  • The Festival offers interactive, education and hands-on opportunities for children & folks of all ages.

  • Except for one full-time office employee and several seasonal employees, the Festival is produced by volunteers with the help of Mecklenburg County Park & Rec.
