Invitation_Ballantyne Art and Real Estate Event_October 2014_Emailable VersionFor immediate release:CHARLOTTE, NC Savvy + Co. Real Estate invites you to attend Art Night in Ballantyne, a very special art-inspired fundraiser that will benefit A Childs Place, a privately funded non-profit that supports the needs of homeless children as they pursue their education. The event, co-sponsored and hosted bySpringHill Suites by Marriott in Ballantyne, includes a silent auction featuring the works of 12 notable Charlotte artists.Sponsored by Savvy + Co. Real Estate and SpringHill Suites, the benefit takes place Wednesday, October 15th from 5:30 to 7:30pm at SpringHill Suites by Marriott, 12325 Johnston Road, Charlotte, NC 28277. Guests will enjoy wine, beer and hors doeuvres while browsing artwork from several mediums including paintings, pottery and jewelry.Mary Magee, an agent working out of Savvy + Co.s new Ballantyne office and an artist herself, organized the event to combine her passion for art with her favorite charity. A Childs Place holds a special place in my heart because of the wonderful work they do in this community to support homeless children in their efforts at school, says Magee. I wanted to create an event that would bring art and real estate together to raise money for much needed school uniforms, supplies and personal hygiene items etc. The management of SpringHill Suites by Marriott Ballantyne Area, graciously invited us to share their annual Art Night event at the hotel in Ballantyne where local artists will be presenting their work in the lobby and donating a piece for an auction to benefit A Childs Place. A win-win for all involved! Tyrekus Williams, the General Manager of the SpringHill Suites, and the entire staff are looking forward to partnering with Mary and Savvy + Co. for an extraordinary event. Art night is a SpringHill Suites brand initiative and we are really super excited to work with such a great company such as Savvy + Co. We are thrilled to be a part of such a charitable event and to support such a worthy cause. A member of Mint Hill Arts and the Matthews Artists Guild, Magee called on her fellow artists to contribute to the silent auction and to be on hand to discuss their works. In addition to the pieces they are donating to the auction, the artists will display several pieces for sale. We are so excited and grateful to Mary Magee, Savvy + Co., SpringHill Suites Marriott and all the participating artists for the support they are providing to children experiencing the chaos and crisis of homelessness here in our community, said Susan B. Hansell, executive director of A Childs Place. Thanks to this event, we can help A Childs Place students stay focused on school, develop a passion for learning and use the power of their education to change their lives. Contributing Artists
