Buying Bread for Animal Kneads Day in Ballantyne!

Great Harvest Bread !

Dog and Cat-lovers visited Piper Glen Shopping Center last Saturday to support the CMPD Spay and NeuterFund by purchasing a loaf of bread from the Great Harvest Bread Company for $10.00 at the annual Animal Kneads Day. The buzz was surprised to find out 100% of that $10 was donated to the clinic. That was so generous of Great Harvest Bread and once again demonstrates how the Charlotte business community gives back !

Adopt me!

I grabbed my still-warm loaf of honey whole-wheat bread and visited the many tables set up along the shopping center. There was the Great Dane Friends of Ruff Love group (boy , those pooches are huge – ride ’em cowboy!), doggy day-care services, critter-sitter in-home services, organic treats for your pets and the vet’s office had a family of 4 – mom and 3 babies – of the cutest kittens you have ever seen! These precious kitties can be adopted at CMPD Animal Care and Control located at 8315 Byrum Drive. The adoption fee is $73 for males and $83 for females which includes all their preliminary shots, neuter/spay and micro-chipping. That is one heck of a deal!
