Farmhouse Antiques & More at The Depot at Gibson Mill in Concord, NC!

I am redecorating my dining room in a farmhouse/French country-type design (can you tell I have no idea what I am doing?) and I have been seeing ads for The Depot at Gibson Mill on my Facebook page. So I decided to make the drive to Concord to check it out.

Words of wisdom: Wear the best walking shoes you own! There is 88,000 square feet with a mind-blowing 600 vendors displaying their wares. (I actually got turned around and almost had to call 911 to find my way back to the entrance; but, a helpful staff member got me going in the right direction.)

IMG_2418So, my overall impression of Gibson Mill is if you are a collector of anything farm-related, you will find it there!

There is everything from repurposed galvanized barrels into chairs and tables to the rage of chalk-painted furniture. They have clothes, fabrics, artwork and floral arrangements. They also have a lot of Lake-related decoration items. However, they don’t have much French Country-themed items.

And when you do get a little worn-out, visit Ellie’s Diner, serving smoothies, sandwiches and beverages. It felt good to sit down!

So, give it a try if you are looking for a piece of Americana. If anything it will give you a good work-out walking through the entire building! The Depot at Gibson Mill is open 7 days a week :

Hours: Monday-Saturday 10-7 • Sunday 1-6
325 McGill Ave., NW, Concord, NC 28026 • 704-787-9351
