I’ll Race You to the NASCAR Hall of Fame!

Let's go Racing!

You can almost smell the motor oil and hear the roar of the crowd at Charlotte’s NASCAR Hall of Fame, located in Uptown Charlotte, NC. Charlotte, NC was awarded the honor of building this tribute to the history and lineage of NASCAR and; rightfully so, as Charlotte has always been a huge fan! This 150,000 square-foot building is filled with racing’s finest memorabilia. Whether it is one of the first NASCAR racing cars or an homage to those legends, such as Dale Earnhardt aka The Terminator, you will find it at the NASCAR Hall of Fame.

The Terminator

The NASCAR Hall of Fame has many venues:

1. Belk Octane Theater – 278 seat featuring films about the history of NASCAR

2. Hall ofHonor – showcases inductees into the NASCAR Hall of Fame

3. The Great Hall with ever-changing displays and videos.

4. Sunoco Glory Road featuring 15-18 historic cars

5. Food Lion Race Week with many interactive venues sure to delight your children!

6. Heritage Speedway – A series of venues which cover the colorful 60-year history of NASCAR.

Great Venue for Events!

And so much more including a race simulator, gift shop, food and entertainment venues and facilities to rent for your personal or corporate events. Having attended an event at the NASCAR Hall of Fame, I can report that the food was delicious and the service was also good!

A few more details:

The Nascar Hall of Fame is open from 10 am – 6pm seven days a week and offers a parking garage off of Brevard Street. Any Uptown hotel is within walking distance; but, the Westin Hotel is very close. You can also ride the Charlotte Light Rail from South Charlotte and get off on the Stonewall Street exit.

If you have not visited the NASCAR Hall of Fame, you need to plan a trip soon. It’s all about speed! The Buzz’s friends will be the first to tell you she has a heavy foot in the car. She can’t help it. Her Mother was pulled over for doing 80 mph in Virginia at the age of 75. Need we say more?? Vroom, Vroom!
